Our Values
  • We believe it is important to work in a way which reflects the values of the community and the people who make up the staff of Brookfield State School.
  • Everything we do is student focused.
  • We strive to operate in partnership with families and the community and prepare students for future learning and life experiences.
  • We recognise that literacy and numeracy are basic and essential skills for learning;
  • We deliver curriculum which incorporates 8 key learning areas (KLA’s) as developed by the Queensland Studies Authority.
  • We strive to differentiate our curriculum to cater for the range of difference in our students.
  • Our curriculum is underpinned by our belief in developing each child as a lifelong learner who is:
    • a knowledgeable person with deep understanding;
    • a complex thinker;
    • a creative person;
    • an active investigator;
    • an effective communicator;
    • a participant in an independent world;
    • a reflective and self-directed learner.
  • We strive to provide a student centred environment in which students feel safe and cared for;
  • We actively incorporate appropriate technology in the delivery of curriculum;
  • We promote an appreciation of cultural diversity and value multiculturalism, diversity, equity and individuality in all members of our community
